About Me

Hi! Thanks for wanting to know a little About Me.

I’m Kerri, an Adelaide-based writer and editor. My love for writing stems from my lifelong love of variety—it is, after all, the spice of life.

Every industry needs written communication, every artistic pursuit benefits from a blurb, every human emotion has a thousand words attempting to describe it.

Maybe not a thousand, but you get what I mean.

Through writing, I'm able to learn, experience, and express ideas I otherwise might not have been exposed to.

I’ve honed this passion through study at the Australian Writers’ Centre and a post-graduate degree in writing at Swinburne University, to complement my Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) from the University of Adelaide.

My career has been aptly varied so far, ranging from birds of prey training on Vancouver Island, hospitality and catering around the world, veterinary pathology in Brisbane, Australia, virus detection in grapevines, and molecular genetic diagnostics and services in my hometown of Adelaide. As you may have guessed, I'm also quite the travel addict.

I’ve been freelance writing and editing since 2020, currently contract edit for an international agency, and work on a fiction novel in my spare time.

I’d love to hear about your latest project, so feel free to get in touch for a chat!
